May Serbey Chehab
A journalist and writer with a BA in Law from the Lebanese University in Beirut. She began her journalistic career in the political magazine (Kul Shi’i) and held the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief. She wrote articles and conducted interviews with many figures in the cultural, artistic, social, medical, and legal fields.
Her first interview was with King Ahmed Fouad at his home in Paris. Among her most prominent interviews was with the musician of generations, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, and it was his last interview before his death. The Lady of the Arab Screen, Faten Hamama, with whom she conducted two interviews in Cairo and Beirut, the great artist Sabah, with whom she conducted more than fifty interviews, the great artist Warda, the veteran star Sherihan, with whom she conducted more than one interview and took exclusive photos with her camera, Princess Camelia, daughter of the singer Princess Asmahan, the artist Kazem El Saher and many prominent artistic names.
She wrote in her weekly column (From the Heart) on the occasion of the appointment articles on various topics in culture, art, society and rights. She was elected to the Council of the Syndicate of Lebanese Press Editors in 2015, for a period of three years and held the position of head of the Cultural Committee. In 2019, she was elected to the Administrative Board of the Lebanese Women's Council and was head of the Media Committee.
She currently holds the position of Head of the Media Committee at the Lebanese Federation for Child Care. She heads the Lebanese Association of Friends of Children with Heart Diseases. She held the position of Secretary of the Association for Children with Heart Diseases for several years. She attended many conferences related to journalism, media, social, medical and legal work.
