International star Brad Pitt to Al-Mawed magazine: I will not look back because the past is gone and will not return
I am completely cured of my alcohol addiction.
Before I start shooting any movie, I go on a diet, and when I finish shooting, I go back to pizza.
I'm not the one who does the dangerous scenes in my movies.
International star Brad Pitt, who won the Best Supporting Actor award at the Golden Globes, recently won the Best Supporting Actor award at the Screen Actors Guild. He is one of the figures who has occupied the public, the media and social media after his divorce from star Angelina Jolie, then his addiction to alcohol and his treatment for it, and his return to work in two films, in one of which he played the role of an astronaut.
I recently met the star "Brad Pitt" and my first question to him was about his health, and he understood what I meant by this question and said that he is in good health and that he underwent addiction treatment sessions and unfortunately the treatment period was long, but now he has completely recovered and returned to the work he loves, as he acted in two major films, one of them with the actor "Leonardo DiCaprio" in the film "Someday in Hollywood" which revolves around a historical incident in Hollywood, which is the murder of the famous actress Sharon Tate while she was pregnant by a gang, but in the novel the director changed the facts of this incident and made it so that the criminals did not succeed in killing the actress and were arrested, and the other film is titled "AD ASTRA" which is a strange name in Latin and it is about a fictional journey of an astronaut who goes outside the solar system to search for his father there. Brad Pitt says that in this film he played a strange and unusual role, as he embodies in the film that during a journey around the sun he is able to save the world on Earth from horrors that could destroy the Earth.
The acting in this movie required Brad Pitt to be physically very competent, although some scenes required him to be a stunt man. The acting in the last two movies had completely different themes, and he said that this is what he likes, to have different characters in his movies.
I asked him about his life now and how he faces the future. He said that he does not look back and that what has passed has passed and that the past is gone and will not return. Rather, he looks at life ahead of him with hope, especially since, according to him, the life he lived previously is much longer than what remains of his future life (and I do not know why he stated this, since he is fifty-five years old and looks much younger than that).
I asked him about a scene in the movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood where he had a dog and the dog ran its tongue over Brad Pitt's face and I asked him how the crew got the dog to do that, and he said that he loves dogs and has had two dogs for a while and regarding that scene he said that there are dog trainers who raised dogs to do these roles and that is what actually happened.
I told him in the movie you look fit and muscular, so how do you maintain your fitness? He said: “Of course I read the story and I know what my role in the movie will be and how I will appear in some scenes, so weeks before starting to film the movie I follow a special diet, and also every day I do exercises and lift weights to show off my arm muscles so that I can film the cinematic scenes, and when filming is over I go back to pizza and sweets.”
I told him that in this movie you play the role of a stunt man, so he interrupted me and said: “He loves stunt men because they do the difficult and dangerous roles while I am in my cabin preparing myself for the next shot, and I am unlike my friend, the famous actor Tom Cruise, who insists on doing all the dangerous and difficult shots, he insists on doing them himself without any stunt man, but of course everyone is free in his life.”
I asked him about the rumor that he was retiring from acting, and he said: “On the contrary, the rumor started in Australia when a journalist said that I had said that I would retire from acting. I denied that completely, but he insisted that he had heard me say that, and of course I did not say that I would retire from acting because I love it, and the proof is in the films that I am working on, as well as others that I am arranging to act in.”
