International star Al Pacino tells Al-Mawed: My life was full of hardships
Al Pacino is one of the group that refused to withdraw and continued working until now, at the age of seventy-five. He began his life in a poor family living in a poor neighborhood in New York City, where he was born and raised as a young man. His father left the family when he was two years old and his mother and grandmother raised him. The neighborhood he lived in was one of the poorest neighborhoods in this huge city and it was not one of the neighborhoods that enjoyed security. Al Pacino grew up and worked in many fields before entering acting. He worked as a "porter" and "postal worker" and any other job to support himself. Despite the difficulties, he was able to study acting in several schools for this purpose in New York City until fate happened to meet and work with the great director and actor "Charles Laughton", who found in him many talents to become a distinguished actor. From here, "Al" and the director began to work together.
In a recent interview with Al Pacino, I asked him about his life and how he managed to become as famous as he is now. He said: His upbringing and his whole life were not always successful. Rather, he stumbled for years when he was trying to work in successful films. Fortunately, he was able to continue until now and hopes that his last film, The Humbling, will be successful. I asked him about his previous roles in films, especially in the nineties of the last century. He interrupted me and said: At his age now, the roles that a person plays must suit his age, no matter how much he tries to appear younger than his age on screen. These roles are relatively few, but they exist. This is what he does, to find stories that suit his personality and appearance now.
