Beirut's festivals are worthy of it
The first session of the Beirut Cultural Festival heralded a promising future for its upcoming sessions, and stations full of joy, art and culture.
Months before the festivals began, the festival president, Mrs. Lama Salam, was living in a state of activity and continuous work, at a pace pulsating with love for Beirut, and insisting on offering the city festivals worthy of Beirut’s antiquity and beauty. With her team and artistic, technical and creative elements, Mrs. Lama was able to open the Beirut Festivals with an audio-visual masterpiece that tells the young and veteran generations the history of Beirut. The viewer appears in the middle of the hall, and the images of Beirut and its history move around him, through a large dome, which was transformed into a 360-degree screen, as if he were in the middle of the waves of history, swaying with them in joy and sadness, accompanied by music composed by the world-famous Lebanese artist Guy Manoukian and played by the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra.
In Beirut Festivals, Mrs. Lama was keen not to present the traditional model of festivals in Lebanon, i.e. a singer and an audience, although the nights of Beirut Festivals witnessed concerts by stars such as Ragheb Alama and Nancy Ajram, and jazz and pop music, but she was keen to present a show in the opening that combined history, art and creativity, dazzling the ears and eyes.
The Formula Car Show was a beautiful activity that was considered a novelty in the history of festival activities.
Beirut Festivals have brought the pulse back to the capital’s arteries, bringing joy to life once again. All thanks to Ms. Lama Salam, who is distinguished by her elegance, humble by her spontaneity, and radiant with elegance, far from artificial ostentation, always smiling, a smile of love, contentment, and peace with oneself.
Prime Minister Tammam Salam is still able, with his patience, faith and love for Lebanon, to lead the ship of the divided and conflicting government, with all the political factions and forces, but beside him is a lady who is full of kindness, love and positive energy, distributing her radiance to everyone around her, strengthening his resolve until he leads Lebanon out of the dark tunnel.
With the success of the Beirut Festivals, we expect the next session to be similar to its predecessor in beauty, elegance and culture.
