The twenty-sixth anniversary of the passing of my father, Muhammad Badi' Sarbiyeh
Today marks the 26th anniversary of my father's passing.
Badih Serbey:
...It is said that with the days, sorrows recede, and memories shrink, snatched away by the whirlpool of life...but with him, all the rules of forgetfulness are broken, for with him life was rosy and often like a story from a book of legends whose lines were written with the ink of dazzling colors...
Values, kindness, sophistication, creativity in his pen, dedication to work and optimism were all titles in his daily life. In the Arab and Lebanese press, he wrote pages illuminated with glory, whether through the political magazine “Kol Shay”, or through the magazines “Al-Mawed”, “Nora” and “Ayyoub” which were dedicated to children. He was one of the pioneers of journalism. He established a school in the profession of searching for troubles, its title is clean and creative journalism. I see the success of his school every day, as I read his writings and his pictures circulated by his readers and fans on social media.
My father, when you were with us... life was sweeter, journalism was more refined, art was more beautiful and Lebanon was a dream. On the anniversary of your departure, I shed tears and scatter roses and tell you that you are still in our hearts and the hearts of your fans.
