A Friendship That Spanned Several Generations United the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Mawed Magazine, Muhammad Badih Serbey, and Al-Sabouha
Tomorrow marks the eleventh anniversary of the passing of Al-Shahroura, Sabah, and today, November 25, marks the start of the international campaign launched by the United Nations in 1991 to confront and eliminate violence against women.
Al-Sabouha may be one of the artists who faced the most violence in all its forms: physical violence, emotional violence, economic violence, in addition to slander, defamation, rumors, and campaigns against her.
But Al-Sabouha, through her faith, her will, and the love of the people, was able to overcome all her ordeals, her problems, and her sorrows, and to always draw a smile on her face and joy in the hearts of her audience.
May God have mercy on Al-Sabouha, who left her mark on the history of Arab art over the span of decades.
