Yousra Does Not Mind Portraying on Screen What She Lived Through of Sorrows
After the screening of the film "Alexandria Again and Forever" at the Cannes Film Festival in 1990, the late editor-in-chief of Al-Mawed magazine, Muhammad Badih Serbey, happened to meet the star Yousra by chance at a restaurant in Paris. They agreed on a morning meeting the following day at Café Fouquet's to talk about the film, where she said: "The film was about an experience in the life of Youssef Chahine, and despite the criticism directed at the film, it received positive reactions at the festival."
When he asked her: "In your life there has been a bitter experience — would you agree to have it told in a film?"
She replied: "Why not, as long as it's well written."
Yousra has starred in many films and has proven herself to be a cinema star of a rare caliber. She has played all kinds of roles, but her role in real life remained far from the lights of the cinema studios.
