Hind Abi Llama, her fans called her... "Hayati"
The late star Princess Hind Abi Llama was one of the most beloved stars to the Lebanese and Arab audience. She began her artistic career in Lebanese TV where she worked as an assistant to director Antoine Remi, who later became her husband.
Then she entered the world of acting when her husband was looking for an actress for a role in the series "Sunset", and when he explained the actress's specifications to her, she asked him: "Am I suitable for the role?" From that day on, her journey to stardom began.
I remember, in one of the editorial board meetings of Al-Mawed magazine, that my father, Badih Serbey, was telling me how the late Hind Abi Llama’ had quickly gained the admiration and love of the audience since she entered the art world, and that she was the only star who, when she met her audience, did not call her by her name or the name of a character she played, but rather by the word “Hayati”/"My Life" which never angered the wife of the late director, because it was evidence of the great success she achieved with the star Abdul Majeed Majzoub in the series (Hayati).
The plot of the series revolves around a writer making a mistake in his phone number. When the series heroine, Nada, answers, he says, "My life," and a romantic love story begins. With its beauty and spontaneity, the audience still remembers it with love and longing, even now. The series is written, scripted, and dialogued by Wajih Radwan, directed by Antoine Remi, and the musical introduction is by the musician Elias Rahbani.
Among her most famous works are: Al Saraab, Around My Room, The Night Player, My Life, Diala, Don't Say Goodbye, The Teacher and the Professor, and other successful works. Hind Abi Llama, who holds the title of Emir from her father, Prince Mahmoud Abi Llama, who is descended from the Al Lamaa princes, died on October 3, 1990, following a heart attack at the age of forty-six.
