Nelly read about her wealth in the newspapers.
The star Nelly presented many successful television and cinematic works, but the strongest connection between her and her audience came through the Ramadan riddles that she presented in the eighties and nineties and gained great fame in the Arab world. In an interview with Al-Mawed magazine about the wealth she collected from her works, Nelly said: “I laughed once when I read in a newspaper that I own a villa full of antiques, and that I have precious jewelry, and all of this is not true. I do not have a hobby of collecting jewelry, and if I put a normal ring on my hand, I would take it off after a few minutes because I cannot stand restrictions. What I own and spend on are only clothes, first because they satisfy my mood and psychology, and second because they are necessary for my work.”
