Backstage break
This photo was taken in 1976, in Cairo, when the star Hussein Fahmy was filming his role in the movie (Barefoot on the Golden Bridge), starring with his wife at the time, the star Mervat Amin. Their marriage had taken place in 1974, during the filming of the movie (A Call After Midnight), and they divorced after fourteen years.
This photo was taken in the first floor outdoor courtyard of the Sheraton Cairo Hotel, during a break from filming. According to my understanding, the star was having lunch in the hotel’s oriental restaurant (Aladdin) waiting to return to filming. This shot and other photos were published in Al-Mawed magazine.
