Mohammed Abdel Wahab and the sea

The "Musician of Generations" Mohamed Abdel Wahab, a title given to him by the late editor-in-chief of Al-Maw'ed magazine Badih Serbey, was afraid of flying and would always travel by sea because he believed that if an accident happened at sea there was hope of survival, but in a plane the possibility of survival was non-existent. The late musician continued to travel by sea until the beginning of the eighties, when he began using a plane for his travels.

This photo of the musician was taken in 1973 while he was on a Turkish ship on a week-long trip, taking him between Spain, Alexandria, and Beirut.
